Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility
To use the App, you must: be at least 18 years of age; provide accurate info; complete KYC; and use the platform lawfully. Latika reserves the right to refuse accounts that appear suspicious.

2. Nature of the Service
Users can purchase, accumulate, track, and redeem digital gold. Each purchase represents ownership of real gold backed by Latika Gold House or its custodial partners.

3. Gold Pricing
Prices are based on international market rates and local adjustments. The price at the moment of transaction confirmation is final. Latika is not responsible for fluctuations.

4. Transaction Limits
Latika may set minimum/maximum purchase amounts and daily limits. These may change without notice for regulatory compliance.

5. Payment Methods

6. Ownership of Digital Gold
Purchased gold represents real value allocated to the user's digital wallet. Users do not physically possess gold until redemption.

7. Gold Storage & Custody
Gold is maintained in Latika’s internal reserve system. We take reasonable measures to ensure secure handling and accurate records.

8. Redemption of Physical Gold
Redeemable at retail locations. No wastage/labour fees after 6 months of holding. Fees may apply for redemption within the first 6 months.

9. Selling Digital Gold
Users may sell back gold at current buy-back prices. Settlements typically take 1–3 business days.

10. Account Security
Users are responsible for securing credentials. Latika is not liable for losses due to unauthorized access via user negligence.

11. Transaction Records
All history (purchases, sales, balances) is recorded in the App. Users should review records regularly.

12. Fees & Charges
No fees for holding gold. Premiums apply for branded bars (e.g., PAMP) and wastage for early jewelry redemption.

13. Market Risk Disclosure
Gold prices are volatile. Latika does not guarantee profit. The App is a savings tool, not speculative investment.

14. Compliance & AML
Latika complies with AML laws. Users must provide ID/Verification for large transactions. Accounts may be frozen if suspicious.

15. Service Availability
Service may be interrupted for maintenance. Latika is not liable for temporary technical outages beyond its control.

16. Limitation of Liability
Latika is not liable for market losses, payment delays from banks, or force majeure events.

17. Changes to Terms
Terms may be modified at any time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of new terms.

18. Termination of Account
Latika may terminate accounts for fraud, misuse, or violation of terms. Users can request closure via support.

19. Privacy
Personal data is used only for account management and compliance. We do not sell data to third parties.

20. Governing Law
Governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Disputes are subject to local court jurisdiction.

22. Redemption Format
Standard redemption is a cut portion of a gold bar. Branded/sealed bars incur extra premium/packaging charges.

23. Price Lock Feature
Pay 60% to lock the price; pay the 40% balance later at that same rate. Failure to pay may lead to cancellation.

24. Redemption Notice Period
A minimum of two (2) days notice is required for all physical gold redemption requests.

25. Fraud Prevention
Latika may reverse transactions or freeze accounts if fraud or chargeback abuse is suspected.

26. Refund Policy
Transactions are generally non-refundable due to market volatility, except for verified technical system errors.
